Meet Erica, the Explorer Behind Pastry Planet
I’ve been baking for over 20 years but it all started with an Easy-Bake Oven and a big dream. From boxed mixes to scratch-made sweets, my journey into baking has always been about connection: to family, to flavor, and to joy.
Growing up without grandparents, I found a few of my own and one of them gifted me something I’ll never forget: her holiday cookies. Crunchy edges, gooey centers, overflowing with chocolate chips and pecans. When she finally let me bake beside her, she told me to toss in a few extra pecans for good luck. I’ve been chasing that magic ever since.
But Pastry Planet wasn’t born until much later after a corporate job drained the joy out of my days and, eventually, fired me. (First time ever. Total plot twist for a lifelong rule-follower and people-pleaser.) Sitting in the quiet that followed, I asked myself: What do I actually love?
The answer? Cookies. Space. Cute bunnies.
So I started baking again—really baking. And I built a brand that celebrates bold flavors, nostalgic memories, and global inspiration. Today, Pastry Planet is my way of sharing that love with you, one cookie at a time.
